ACTIVITIES UNDER VARIOUS CELLS AND CLUBS
IQAC
The Internal
Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Smt. Sushma Swaraj GCG, Ballabgarh was setup
as a quality sustenance and enhancement measure. The prime task of the IQAC is
to developa system for conscious and consistent improvement in overall
performance of college. The IQAChad regular meetings once every quarter. and
ensured quality enhancement of college by:

encouraging
staff for academic quality writing book/paper publishing/research work, in
service training etc.
·
Visioning
with NGO and corporate sectors, retired principals and eminent academies.
In the
meeting with NTPC official, Sh. Garg agreed upon providing 4 Watercoolers along
with RO in the new college building.
Also agreed upon giving opportunity to intrested girl student for soft
skill
training in
batches. Support with regards toestablishing dispensary in college under Red
cross
was also
assured.
In
collaboration with different cells of the college, IQAC organized various
activities forthe welfare of students (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Earth day,
Environment day)

Feedback
collection is a key part of the quality assurance process and the IQAC plays
avery important role in this regard too. Students were encouraged to give their
feedback onportal about various aspects of college like teaching,
infrastructure, extra-curricular activities, etc.
PLACEMENT CELL
·
The final
year students of the college participated in online job Fair held on 14-15
Sept,2021. Around 100 students participated and
07 students cleared 1st round.
·
A grant of
Rs. 30,000 was received during the year 2021-22 under placement cell. Thegrant
was utilized to purchase 12 competitive books for various examinations along
with an Almirah.
·
An extension
lecture on “Career Guidance in science after graduation & Research
Prospectsin the area of Physics on 8 Feb 2022. Dr.MarikantYadav, Assistant
Professor in Physics atYMC Bose University of Technology & Science gave a
knowledgeable address.

To home
computer skills of students an extension lecturer by Mr.Sandeep, Irania at
BITSComputer Institute was organized on 9th Feb 2022.

An Extension
lecture by Ms.CharuManeja, Educational Coach & Corporate mentor Evolue on
“Visual Communication: Poneer dressing & Body Language” Vocal & verbal
communication was organized on 11 Feb 2022.

An Extension
lecture by Dr. SIP Singh, retired Associate Professor HES-I, Principal
VisionInstitute of Applied Studies Fbd. On “ Job opportunities in various
fields and makingyourself job ready was organised for benefit of students on
12-02-2022.
EARN WHILE YOU LEARN
9 Students
were given specific task under the scheme in the Administrative office,
Library,Computer Lab, Language Lab, Physics lab, Psychology lab
MENTOR MENTEE REPORT
Mentorship
classes are conducted on regular basis to improve the teaching learning process
andmaximise communication between students and teachers. Every teacher has
around 50 students inMentor group and there is a class for mentorship every
Wednesday. The purpose of mentor class isto discuss the family, health,
personal and career related issues of the students. As a result,
teacher-student bonding is significantly improved.
There were
various cases such as exam stress, depression, eve-teasing and family related
issueswhich were reported by the students and the same were resolved by the
mentors. The mentorshipclasses are proving a great help to the students as the
teachers are interacting with the studentsmore closely and encouraging them to
discuss their issues.

NSS unit and
Youth Red Cross cell jointly organized an online lecture on “Role of Red Ccross
in current pandemic situation” on 8th July 2021. Speaker work Sh. B.B. Kathuria
(Former Secretary, DRSC Faridabad) and Sh. Rohit Sharma (Haryana State Red
Cross Chandigarh).

Tree
plantation by honorable cabinet minister Mr.Mool Chand Sharma ji on 27th Aug
2021- Mr.Mool Chand Sharma cabinet minister planted tree in the new under
constructionbuilding of College at Sec-2 Ballabgarh. Whole staff of college
planted more than 50 plantsin new building.

Online quiz
competition held on 21.09.2021 for NSS volunteers on the occasion ofupcoming
NSS day-Online quiz competition were held for students. Students
participatedenthusiastically in the quiz. E-certificates were provided to
students scoring more than70% in the test.

One day camp
organised by NSS volunteers on 01.10.2021 for cleanliness and beautificationof
campus and campus surroundings-One day camp was organized by NSS
volunteers..31students worked hard for cleanliness of plastic wastage from
campus surroundings. Treeplantation was done by students for beautification of
campus. students made posters onswaachbharatabhiyan.

Featuring of
Short film for AIDS Awareness and Poster making Competition onOccasion Of AIDS
Day 01/12/2021- on AIDS DAY a short film is featured in collegecampus to make
students aware about AIDS and clear the myths about this Disease. APoster
making and Slogan writing competition was also held. Appreciation
certificateswear also provided to winning students.

Lecture on Occasion of National Youth Day (12/01/2022)-Dr.KaushlendraDas (Ex.
H.O.D, Dept. of Philosophy, JagadguruRamanandcharya Sanskrit University,
Jaipur) was speaker on National Youth Day. He Presented His Thoughts about Life
andTheory of Swami VivekanandJi and its relevance in today’s era.

Surya NamaskarAbhiyan- 60 Students of college Participated in 75
suryanamaskarabhiyan by Govt. of India.Students did 8 Rounds ofSuryanamaskar for 21 days.Certificates are
issued to students by Ministry Of Aayush.

UDAAN-An
initiative by DHE on the subject “The Power Of Lifeskills” on 10th
March2022-Miss BhawnaGargDhuriwala, Life Skills Coach and Author of”Searching
ForHappiness” took the session to know life with Awareness and to throw a light
On Happinessand Communication . The link for the event was shared among the
students and weremotivated to attend the event.

Sustainable Practices: A way toProtect And Conserve the Environment on
22/03/2022-Poster making and slogan writingcompetition held at college level
(level 1) on topic “Sustainable Practices: A way to ProtectAnd Conserve the
Environment”.winning students entries were sent for level 2 (UniversityLevel).

Three days
health workshop from 7th April 2022 to 9th April 2022- On occasion ofWorld
Health Day, a three days health workshop was organised in which a team of
doctors from civil hospital, Faridabad visited the college.
WOMEN CELL
UDAAN-An
initiative by DHE on the subject “Women's health and demographic dividend:A
synoptic view?” on 9th September 2021. Dr.GurinderKaur, Assistant Professor
conducted alive session on Facebook at noon. The link for the event has been
shared among the students andwere motivated to attend the event.

Fifteen Days
Workshop on “Self Defence Training” was organised in the college premisesfrom
11 October to 30 October 2021. The training was provided by Sterling Tae Kwon
DoFoundation. Sanitary Napkin Incinerator Machine has been purchased for
collegestudents under Women Cell.

A demo class
on Craft with Waste Material was organised by Women Cell incollaboration with
Eco-Club on 24 November 2021. Around 30
students have attendedthe workshop.

Ten Days
Workshop on Fine Arts was organised in the college from 12th November – 24thNovember
2021. The workshop involves various activities such as “Painting;
Rangoli;Cartooning; Poster Making”.

Sh.Raj Singh Yoga Instructor on 29th January 2022.

Celebrated
International Women's day on 8th March 2022. Events like speech, Signaturedrive
and formation of human chain were organized.
LEGAL LITERACY CELL
Organized an
online Extension lecture via Google platform on “Legal Right of Women “on
17July 2021.Mr.Rajkumar Sharma, Advocate at District & High Court apprised
the students withknowledge. He also donated 100 books on fundaments rights to
be distributed among students.

In Essay
writing competition on “Challenges in the life of women” was held on 17 July
2021.
·
Indian Constitution
day was celebrated on 26 Nov 2021 in which competitions i.e. Poster Making
& Slogan Writing were organized. Oath was also sheared by students. Prize
distribution for the same was held on 29 Nov 2021.

Organized an
essay writing competition an “Importance of Right to vote” to mark
thecelebration of National voters Day on 25 Jan 2022.
·
Organized
lecture on “women safety” on 21st May 2022 in collaboration with Durga Shakti
ASI Ms.Babita . The speaker made students aware of their rights and addressed
the studentsto be vocal about their problems . She also insisted that any
harassment be reported in policestation or by Dailing No. 112. Also the ASI,
Chawla Colony Police station ensured that theyare always there to help them. A
rally was conducted with help of District legal awareness toeducate masses
about the legal assistance by district administration.
RED CROSS SOCIETY
In beginning
of this academic year the data/status of vaccinated students was collected
followingwhich an awareness session for the students who were not vaccinated
was organised. We had alsocommunicated with District Red Cross society to
organise a vaccination camp in college especiallyfor girl's students and
faculty members.

Organized an
orientation session on 11th Oct. 2021, for the newly admitted studentsof B.A-1,
B.Com-I and B.Sc-1 about what is YRC and how we can contribute through it?

On 01st
December 2021 a show of short movie related to awarenessof HIV/AIDSwas
organized.
·
College
distributed more than 70 sweaters to the students who belonged to social
andeconomically weaker Section between 07/04/22 to 09/04/22.
·
In the joint
collaboration of NSS, YRC Organised a three days health Check-up
camp(07/04/2022 to 09/04/2022, for the all college students with co-operation
of Civil HospitalFaridabad. In the camp more than 400 students got benefited
and aware about hygiene,sanitation and mental Health.

On 12 Jan
2022 Under YRC & NSS a lecture was delivered by Dr.Kosalendra Das,Assistant Professor Rajasthan Sanskrit
University Jaipur on “Thoughts of SwamiVivekananda : In Context of Youth”.

Tobacco Free
Educational Institution & Red Ribbon Club organized a Rally on the
topics,“Prevention cure of HIV/AIDS” & “Tobacco Free” on 21 may 2022. The
rally of students& staff proceeded from college campus to Ambedkarchowk,
Ballabgarh. Approximately250 students participated this awareness.
ROAD SAFETY CLUB
On 24th Jan
2022, in collaboration with Road Safety Omni foundation, an initiative of
pastingreflector tape on cycle, Rickshaw, E- Rickshaw, Auto, taxi were taken,
so that collisions due tolow visibility and fog Cousin could be avoided.
An
informative talk on “Road safety issues, norms and law”, was held under road
safety club ofCollege on 21.05.2022. The Road safety Bill: Do's and Don'ts were
discussed by Dr.Richa.
One day
workshop for girls students on 21.05.2022 was organized by Red Cross society
and legalliteracy cell of the college in collaboration with Road Safety Omni Foundation
and district legalliteracy cell to create awareness among students about
primary First-Aid, CPR and many otherrelevant issues in order to prepare them
to respond in emergency situation. Mr.Devendra, founderof Road Safety Omni
Foundation, delivered lecture on “Newly implemented Road Safety Act” inthe
workshop. A numbers of issues such as Right to information, Right of destitute
of women andchildren, Right to education etc. were also discussed.
Health
Check-up Camp - NSS and YRC organised a three days health Check-up camp
from07/04/2022 to 09/04/2022, for the all college students
ECO CLUB
The Eco club
in the college is established to spread awareness about environmental pollution
andto reduce pollution in the college campus. It is committed to prepare and
organize students'participation for preservation and conservation of
environment. The Eco Club organised thefollowing activities in the college:

maintain the greenbelt in the college.

COUNSELLING CELL
The
counselling cell of the college was active throughout the year. It counselled
the studentsthrough individual counselling sessions based on their needs and
helped them resolve theiremotional and psychological issues. It also helped the
students overcome their fears and anxietiesespecially pertaining to lockdown
and examination. The cell put in best efforts to enhance theconfidence of students by making
them realize their hidden talents and encouraging them tofocus on their
strengths.

objective of Cultural committee is to provide a platform to students so that
they learnabout their inner potential and gain optimum exposure and acquire
confidence throughexploration and experimentation with a plethora of extra -
curricular activities.
The cell
members work upon physical, mental and artistic faculties of students and
strive todevelop their imagination, encouraging them to think critically and be
creative.
